Spiritual Warfare Part 1

Introduction

The day that you accepted Yahshua (Jesus) as your Messiah is the day that you enlisted in God’s army. Every “born of above” believer is a worrier in God’s army. Every warrior who serves Yahshua ha Moshiach must be trained for spiritual combat (Ephesians 6:13-17).

Ephesians 6:13-18
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Every believer must learn how to live stable and balanced lives (and I’m not talking about exercise and a good diet). They must know how to control their thoughts, emotions, and actions. They must be able to keep the fire of the Holy Spirit’s zeal burning in their hearts, so that they can face all adversities and adversaries and be continually victorious. To those who overcome belong the rewards (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 21; 21:7).

The Enemy

One of the main objectives of the military is to obtain as much information about the enemy as possible. That is why recon, intelligence and espionage plays such an important role in the outcome of a war. It is important that we also recognize who our enemy is and what his tactics are. But, unlike the armies of the world we do not war in the flesh, and the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. Instead we war in the spirit, against enemies in the spirit realm that we can’t see. And the weapons of our warfare is the word of Elohim, which has divine power to demolish strongholds (2nd Corinthians 10:3-6).

Forces of Evil

According to the New Testament, the Old Testament, and other apocryphal writings we read of three distinctive enemies that constitutes the forces of evil in the kingdom of darkness. In view of the scriptures these forces of evil are made up of:

1. Demonic spirits
2. Fallen angels
3. Satan (who of course is also a fallen angel)

Contrary to standard teachings Satan is not the only enemy we fight. Scripture indicates that although Satan is our number one enemy there exist a large force of evil that we have to contend with on a day to day basis. These forces of evil is strategically placed all around the world and functions within a hierarchical ranking system.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Heavenly places or heavenly realms)

This verse speaks of a spiritual war that is taking place on earth in the hearts and minds of everyone whether they know it or not. Ephesians 6:12 clearly identifies who the enemy is. Paul makes it clear that flesh and blood is not our enemy. Our enemies are spiritual forces of evil which cohabitate in a different dimension called the spirit realm. This dimension is not visible in our material world but never the less the enemy can attack and have an affect on us from their realm. Although, many of our attacks do come from flesh and blood we have to understand that they are only tactics (physical weapons) used against us, and that they are not the real enemy. Mankind is influenced, controlled, and manipulated by these forces of evil in order to accomplish the enemy’s objective.

In Ephesians 6:12, Paul does not specify or differentiates on “who” the demons are and “who” the fallen angels are. But, he does identify four types of forces that we have to deal with as a believer in Yahshua.

1) Principalities
2) Rulers of this dark world
3) Powers (Authorities)
4) Spiritual forces of evil in high places (heavenly realms).

According to this passage, we can see that the words used in this text describe various ranks and thrones that are in place. This tells us that there is a hierarchical ranking system that has been put into place in Satan’s kingdom of darkness as there is in the angelic kingdom of light. In other words we are dealing with a highly organized army of demonic forces and battalions of fallen angels.

Principalities - From Strong’s Greek word (G746) arche (ar-khay'); defined as: Chief in various applications of order, time, place or rank:--beginning, magistrate, power, principality, principle, rule. (cf, the English word: archangel) (Rom 8:38-39, Eph 3:10, Col 2:15)

  • These have ruling authority over nations, empires, cities, districts, and territories. They are the chiefs in ranks and the commanders of the armies. They have power and authority over the armies of the kingdom of darkness. The Old Testament refers to them also as a “prince,” ex. The prince of Persia (Daniel 10:13, 20). These are very powerful evil spirits.

  • In the kingdom of light the archangel Michael is the great “prince” who protects and stands guard over the nation of Israel (Daniel 12:1).

Rulers - From Strong’s Greek word (G2888) kosmokrator (kos-mok-rat'-ore); defined as: A world-ruler, an epithet of Satan:--ruler. (Eph 3:10, Col 2:15)

  • They express the powers of authority and influence over the world system. These are the top rulers of the kingdom of darkness, the head persons over any rank or class. These “rulers” are in control over different parts of the world, and may have charge over various nations as well, each having their own army with their princes and chiefs in ranks. These are also very powerful evil spirits.

  • Scripture tells us that Satan is the ruler of this world; in the spiritual realm he is the commander in chief of all rulers, princes, chiefs, powers, authorities, and of all armies in the kingdom of darkness.

  • In the physical world Satan rules over all the kingdoms (nations) of the earth working through the rulers, leaders (presidents) and governments of those nations (Luke 4:5-8; John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11; 1st John 5:19).

NOTE: Epithet is a descriptive word or phrase expressing some real or implied quality of a person or thing, often used to designate the person or thing in place of the name; i.e. Charles the Great for Charlemagne.

Powers (Authorities) - From Strong’s Greek word (G1849) exousia (ex-oo-see'-ah): Defined as mastery, magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control; delegated influence:--authority, jurisdiction, power, strength. (Eph 3:10, Col 2:15)

  • These are the soldiers of the kingdom of darkness. They express their character and nature as an opposing army and they have military organization. In other words these are fallen angels and demons invested with authority and ability.

  • These are the ones we usually engage in the battlefield, weather in our mind or with flesh and blood. These are the lesser powerful evil spirits in their class.

NOTE: In addition Satan’s armies also consist of messengers, recon units, spies, and intelligence forces, which provide information back and forth between these ranks. The reason for this is that Satan is not omnipresent like Elohim.

Spiritual forces of evil in high places (or in the heavenly realms)-

  • High - From Strong’s Greek word (G2032) epouranious (ep-oo-ran'-ee-os): Defined as above the sky; celestial; heaven--high.

We know from scripture that these spiritual forces of evil in the high places can consist only of fallen angels because only angelic beings can descend from, or dwell in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:2). The demons or the “evil spirits” as they are also referred to in the New Testament are confined to the earth because they are not created angelic beings but are spirits from the offspring’s (nephilim/giants) of the sons of God and the daughter’s of men (Genesis 6:1-4). The apocryphal Book of Enoch also confirms this to be true (Enoch 15:10).

Enoch 15:8-10
And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin; they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called. [As for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.]

The high places or the heavenly realms that Paul is referring to in Ephesians 12:6 is not the same place where God dwells. These high places may include from the earths atmosphere and beyond. It may even go as far as other planets and to the outer reaches of our solar system.

NOTE: The word used here is “high places” (realms) in the plural term, not singular. So, technically the term “kingdom of the air” (NIV) or “power of the air” (NASB & KJV) which appears in Ephesians 2:2 does not mean that they are confined only to the 4 layers of the earth’s atmosphere (the troposphere, the stratosphere, the mesosphere, and the thermosphere). This is highly unlikely given the fact that UFO’s (moving lights) have been seen by NASA’s astronauts while orbiting outside the earth’s atmosphere, and not to mention the face visible on the planet Mars (some food for thought). Also fallen angels are not just confined to the high places, they can descend and roam around the earth. We see an example of this in Job 1:7 and in the book of Enoch where the "watchers," or the "sons of God" (fallen angels) descended on Mount Hermon, then proceeded to have sex with the daughters of man.

How do we know this is true, that fallen angels are still around? Well, Ephesians 6:12 and other verses (Matthew 25:41; Romans 8:38; Ephesians 3:10; Colossians 2:15; Revelation 12:4,7-9) are evidence that not all the fallen angels were locked up by Elohim (Jude 1:6; 2nd Peter 2:4), that there are many who are still roaming free until judgment day. Many engage in battles with angelic beings from the kingdom of light (Daniel 10:13, 20). Also, we see in the Book of Enoch that only 200 of the fallen angels (watchers) were locked up the rest of the fallen angels with the exception of a few others are not (Enoch 14:5-6, 19:1, 21:4-6).

Although it is not clear in Ephesians 6:12 we can verify by reading Ephesians 3:10 that at least two more of the forces mentioned can be considered as fallen angels.

Ephesians 3:10 (NIV)
In order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities (powers) in the heavenly places

Understand that in Ephesians 6:12, Paul is not making a distinction or categorizing between fallen angels and demons. He is merely illustrating the fact that our enemies are structured in an orderly ranking system consisting of fallen angels and demons co-existing together attacking believers all around the world on a regular basis. These forces of evil have existed for thousands of years and still exist today.

Ephesians 3:10 also points to the fact, beyond any reasonable doubt, that when Paul mentions “rulers” and “authorities” he is not referring to physical earthly Kings or governments but to supernatural spiritual beings in the heavenly places.

Colossians 1:16 (NASB)
For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-- all things have been created by Him and for Him.

In This verse Paul is referring to both the physical and the spiritual realms. We can see by this verse that a ruling order has been set in place for both realms by Yahshua. These thrones, dominions, rulers, and authorities in this verse are in reference to earthly establishments and to the kingdom of light, they are not in any ways connected to the ruling order that we read in Ephesians 6:12.

  • Thrones - From Strong’s Greek word (G2362) thronos (thron'-os): Defined as; a stately seat ("throne"), power, or a potentate:--seat, throne.

  • Dominion – From Strong’s Greek word (G2963) kuriotes (koo-ree-ot'-ace); Defined as; from G2962, mastery, rulers:--dominion, government.

Yahshua did not create the ranking order that exist in the kingdom of darkness. That order was put into place by Satan when he and the rest of his angels fell from their heavenly place. Satan “wanting to be like God” also structured a ranking system in his kingdom. We can see this example of angels worshiping or being subject to Satan in the book of Enoch (Enoch 54:6).

Enoch 54:6
And Michael, and Gabriel, and Raphael, and Phanuel shall take hold of them on that great day, and cast them on that day into the burning furnace, that the Lord of Spirits may take vengeance on them for their unrighteousness in becoming subject to Satan and leading astray those who dwell on the earth.

NOTE: At the time of the angelic fall this hierarchy only consisted of fallen angels. It wasn’t until after Noah’s flood that the demons (evil spirits of the giants) joined in the ranks.

1st Peter 3:22 (NASB)
Who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.

This verse tells us that Yahshua is above all rulers, thrones, principalities, powers, authority, and dominions, weather on earth, in the kingdom of light, or in the kingdom of darkness, everything is subjected to Him. This verse also addresses the issue confirming that both Apostles Peter and Paul were aware of the fact that there is an angelic hierarchical ranking system established in the spiritual realm weather good or evil. Thus, revealing the appearance of angels with powers over nations, cities, etc., in both the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness.

It is important to recognize that the Biblical view of the universe is heavily populated with “legions” and “countless” of angelic beings, of various ranks (Colossians 1:16). Elohim works continually by angels, and every atom in the universe is under His command, that is why He can assert His power and authority in such absolute terms (Isaiah 45:7; Lamentations 3:37, 38).

ANGELS

Scripture tells us that angels are divine beings created by Elohim. They are not eternal, meaning that they did not always exist. Only God is eternal, He always was (Ex 3:14; John 8:58). The Bible does not go into exact detail when God created the angels, but we can safely say by researching other scriptures that the angels were created “in the beginning” before Elohim created the earth and man.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). The scriptures verify this to be true. In the book of Job we see that the angels (the morning stars and the sons of God) were present at the very moment of earth’s creation (Job 38:4-7).

Job 38:4-7
"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone--while the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

In Genesis verse 2 Elohim had already created the foundations of the earth and according to Job 38:4-7 the angels shouted for joy when they saw Elohim’s creative work. After Genesis verse 2 we see that Elohim continues the creation or restoration process of the earth and then later creating man. I believe that Elohim had a purpose for creating the earth, and before He created the physical world He created the hosts of the spiritual realm.

In the New Testament the term “angel” is derived from the Greek word “aggelos” (G32). Strong’s bible concordance defines this word as: A messenger, an angel (to bring tidings); a pastor:--angel.

The word in Hebrew, in the Old Testament, for “angel” is “malak” (H4397), which means: From an unused root meaning to dispatch as a deputy; a messenger of God, an angel (also a prophet, priest or teacher); ambassador, king-- angel. The plural term for angels in Hebrew is “malachim.”

The definition for “angel” is the same in the New Testament as well as in the Old Testament. Other terms used throughout the scriptures when referring to angels are; “sons of God” (Genesis 6:2, Job 1:6, 2:1, 38:7), “holy ones” (Dan 4:13, 17, 23, 8:13, Job 15:15), “morning stars” (Job 38:7), “watchers” (Daniel 4:17 KJV, NASB) and “heavenly hosts” (Psalms 103:21, Psalms 148:2). In the Book of Enoch angels are also referred to as the “Holy Watchers” or the “Watchers of Heaven.”

Scripture reveals that angels belong to ranks and orders (Joshua 5:13-15; Dan 10:13; Romans 8:38; Ephesians 1:21; Colossians 1:16; 1st Peter 3:22; Jude 1:9). Some Biblical scholars in this field of research say that some of the higher ranking angelic beings (b'nai ha elohim) are members of the Heavenly Divine Council of Elohim. They say that from the very beginning of the earth’s existence it was through the Divine Council that the earth was managed and ruled (Job15:8; Jeremiah 23:18; Psalms 82:1-7, 89:7).

We can see in scripture that angels have different functions, and purposes, in their service as they carry out the will of God. We know of at least six different angels that are mentioned in the bible.

  1. Messenger Angels: (Dan 9:21; Matt 1:20; Luke 1:11)
  2. Archangel: (Jude 1:9)
  3. Seraphim: (Isa 6:2-6; Rev 4:8)
  4. Cherubim: (Gen 3:24; Exo 25:18-22; Isa 37:16; Ezek 10:1-20)
  5. Watchers: (Dan 4:13-17, 23, Enoch chapters 6-20)
  6. The Whirling Wheels: (Ezek 10:10-17)
My research, according to the information based in the scriptures on angels, has led me to classify them into four different groups of angels:

1. Ministering Angels: Also known as guardian angels. These angels live among the believers. They guard our homes; they are camped around us all the time, they are in our congregations, at our jobs, etc. Their orders are to minister and take care of us (Mathew 18:10). They look exactly like human beings. The only way you would notice them is if they appeared or disappeared in front of your eyes, or if Elohim opened a portal into the spirit realm. These angels will appear in the physical realm at Elohim’s command. The “Holy Watchers” would classify in this group.

Watchers – A guardian class of angels that are assigned to watch over the earth and protect mankind (Daniel 4:13-17, 23, Enoch chapter 20). Strong’s Concordance defines a “watcher” (iyr in Hebrew) as a guardian angel (Strong's H5894).

2. Worship Angels: Their function is to worship Elohim. These are the only angels with wings. They are six winged angels, the cherubim and seraphim. They reside around the throne of Elohim. These are a very high order of worship angels, and they both have the same function. More than likely Lucifer was the archangel of the worship angels before his fall. The “Whirling Wheels” as they are described by Ezekiel would classify in this group.

Cherubim - guarded the gate of access back into Eden after Adam and Eve were expelled (Genesis 3:24). Two figures of cherubim covered the mercy seat which sat on the top of the Ark of the Covenant in the Tabernacle of Moses and later in the Temple of Solomon (Exodus 25:18-22, 26:1, 31, 36:8, 35, 37:7-9; Numbers 7:89; 1st Samuel 4:4; 2nd Samuel 6:2; 1st Kings 6:23-35, 7:36, 8:6-7; 2nd Kings 19:15; Psalms 81:1, 99:1; Isaiah 37:16). Also described by the prophet Ezekiel (Ezekiel 10:1-20, 41:18-20; Hebrews 9:5).

Seraphim - The “burning ones” described in detail by the prophet Isaiah and the apostle John (Isaiah 6:2-6; Revelations 4:8). They continuously worship Elohim and cry “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”

The Whirling Wheels - Described by the prophet Ezekiel as “Living beings” by the throne of Elohim, a wheel within a wheel, having four faces and covered with many eyes and glowing with light. (Ezekiel 10:10-17).

3. Warrior Angels: These angels are in constant battle with the kingdom of darkness and they are also called destroyer angels in the bible. These are the angels that showed up for battle when ever the nation of Israel needed help (Joshua 5:13-15; 2nd Kings 19:35). They come from the presence of Elohim and therefore a strong glow radiates from their skin and clothing. The heavenly radiation from them will usually drain your strength. Michael is the archangel of all the warrior angels (Daniel 10:13, 21; 12:1; Jude 1:9; Revelation 12:7).

4. Messenger Angels: Elohim uses these angels to bring announcements and messages to the world (mankind). They also work in various ways in the unfolding of God’s plan. The messenger angels also dwell in the presence of Elohim, and glow with that special heavenly radiance (Genesis 22:11-12, 16:7-12, 31:11-13; 1st Chronicles 21:18; Zechariah 1:9-14, 2:3, 4:1-14; Acts 27:23-24). Gabriel is the archangel of the messenger angels and his chief purpose includes the closing of one chapter of time, and the opening of another as in the book of Daniel (Daniel 8:16-27, 9:21-27, 10:6-14, 11:1-45; Matthew 1:20, 2:13,19, 28:2-5; Luke 1:11-19, 26-31; Revelation 22:9-11).

Angelic appearance can vary. Most people think of angels as simply spiritual entities; not so, they are supernatural beings. They are described as pure and bright as Heaven; consequently, they are said to be formed of fire, and encompassed by light, as the Psalmist said: “Who makes winds his messengers; his ministers a flaming fire (Psalms 104: 4; Matthew 28:2-3). In Scripture they appear in human form and they accept material foods (Joshua 5:13; Mark 16:5; Luke 24:4; Acts 1:10; Genesis 18:1-2, 22, 19:1).

Angels are like shape shifters they can materialize or manifest in any human form, shape, size, gender, or ethnic group that they desire to accomplish the will of God. The bible says: Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it (Hebrews 13:2). They act in an unknown way in and through the physical laws of nature. It is as if they have the ability to change and controll physical matter at a molecular level. An angel will materialize in the physical world only when instructed by Elohim.

An angel (whether fallen or not) is a celestial spiritual being and possesses a celestial body as well as a spirit. Paul makes it very clear that angels have a body. In the first letter to the Corinthians Paul describes the different types of bodies that exist. There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body (1st Corinth 15:40-44).

Angels cannot posses a human body or an animal’s body the way demons can, demons are disembodied spirits, angels are not. Satan can not posses a human being the way it is portrayed in Hollywood.

In addition to all manner of greater and lesser angels, the Mighty Archangel Michael, guardian of Israel, and the great messenger Gabriel are the only angels named in the scriptures. Only Michael, of all the angels, is actually called an archangel in the bible. Lucifer is however named as one of the cherubim.

Fallen Angels

What is a fallen angel? There is no specific definition for this word in the concordance, or any of the bible dictionaries. It does not appear in the Old Testament or the New Testament either. The word “fallen angel” is a term we use to describe an angel who rebelled or sinned against Elohim.

·        Fall- (H5307) naphal: To fall, in a great variety of applications, cast (down, out), cease, die, divide, fail, fall.

Fallen angels have the same characteristics as an angel of Elohim. The only difference is that they are no longer in the service of Elohim but are subject to Satan. Because of this they are restricted of certain capabilities and are bound to eternal damnation. Scripture tells us that a third of the angels were cast down with Lucifer at the time of their rebellion (Revelation 12:4).

The Bible does not reveal exactly when Lucifer and a third of the angels were cast out from Heaven (Isaiah.14: 12; Luke 10:18, Revelation 12:4). Due to the fact that detailed information regarding this event is not available to us at this time several theories have immerged in Christian theology. But, by carefully studying the bits and pieces of information that the scriptures provide we can only guesstimate when this event occurred. Who is right and who is wrong we will never know until the wedding supper of the lamb.

In Genesis chapter six we find a brief history of a group of fallen angels who sinned against Elohim by defiling themselves with the daughters of men (Genesis 6:1-4). The bible does not go into specific detail as it does in the Book of Enoch. Also, the New Testament speaks of angels that sinned against Elohim and were cast down to hell to be reserved unto judgment (2 Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6). But, these are the same fallen angels of Genesis chapter six.

The rest of the fallen angels that did not defile themselves with the daughters of men are not locked up in hell they are free to inhabit the heavenly realms and the earth. They can go “to” and “from” the earth and the heavens as they please (Job 1:6-7), until the time of the great judgment. Another example of a fallen angel in the bible is in Daniel 10:13 and verse 20 were we read about Michael the archangel fighting against the prince of Persia. An archangel is a very powerful angelic being and only another fallen warrior angel, or archangel would be able to challenge him.

Fallen angels are not the same entities as the demons that we read in scripture. This concept of them being one and the same has been taught in the church for many years and is still predominant today. Demons do not have bodies, but seek to inhabit others, where as angels do have a body, a spiritual body (1st Corinthians 15:40-50) like Yahshua after His resurrection. These fallen angelic hosts are much more powerful and more dangerous entities than demons.

An important point regarding these fallen angels (b'nai ha elohim) is that at one time in antiquity (pre-flood era) mankind had a very close relationship with them. These beings are real, and they can also become physical. However, they are also inter-dimensional and are not contained by the laws of physics that appear to govern humanity’s existence. Fallen angels can not materialize into the physical world whenever they please, they can only do so if Elohim allows it.

 Demons

The term “demon” in Greek is the word “daimonizomai” (G1139) which means to be possessed by a demon, demoniacs; demon-possessed. Ultimately its root is derived from the Greek word “daimon” (G1142) which is defined as: A supernatural spirit (of a bad nature): devil.  The Greeks “daimons” or “demons” were intermediary spirits between humans and the gods. Demons devote themselves to tormenting human beings, assaulting them, and possessing them.

The origin of demons, as I mentioned before, derived from the spirits of the giants (nephilim). When the “sons of God” (b'nai ha elohim) actually had sexual relations with human women and produced semi-divine offspring (Genesis 6:1-4). This is an example of some of the fallen angels (b'nai ha elohim) exercising their freedom of choice to make a decision contrary to God’s will.

All accounts, whether from the New Testament, the book of Enoch, or Jewish commentary, state that the sons of God that had sinned in this way were punished by being imprisoned and chained in Hell. However, their offspring remained on earth, and were killed by the flood waters. But, their spirits were to dwell upon the earth and afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth against the children of man (Enoch 15:8-12).

Some of these hybrids were produced even after the Flood, creating the basis for the many pagan myths of mighty heroes and gods that are found within the traditions of so many ancient cultures. In Greek Mythology these giants are known as “Titans.”

Webster’s definition of Titans: One of a family of primordial deities. The children of Uranus or Heaven, and Gaea or Earth, conceived as lawless beings of gigantic size and enormous strength.

Demons can not materialize in the physical world the way angels can, because they are disembodied spirits, naked and homeless they seek human bodies as their habitation. One of the reasons, and they have many, that a demon will possess a person’s body is because they want to taste, touch, smell, and most of all they want to be able to feel, or experience things again especially the act of sexual intercourse (spirits of fornication).

Those so called demons that the occult groups summon to appear inside a circle are not demons they are actually fallen angels masquerading as what ever demon the witch was calling upon. Either that or somehow these witches know the secrets on how to open a portal into the spirit realm. Remember that angels are shape shifters and they can take on any form desired or just simply create an illusion like for example an extra terrestrial being or a UFO light traveling across the night sky (some food for thought).

Satan

Satan is known in the scriptures as: The devil (Revelation 20:2), tempter (Matthew 4:3), and accuser (Revelation 12:10). The evil one (Matthew 6:13), prince of demons” (Mark 3:22), the ruler of the kingdom of the air or the ruler of the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:2), and the Prince of Darkness. He is identified with the serpent in the Garden of Eden to emphasize his evil craftiness (Genesis 3:1), the god of this age (2 Corinthians 4:4), and the dragon in the book of Revelation to emphasize his evil and power (Revelation 20:2). Belial (2 Corinthians 6:15) it means “worthless,” and is used in connection with filthiness and wickedness. Other names which Satan goes by are: Lucifer, Mastema, Baal, and Beelzebub.

Satan is public Enemy number one. He is the epitome, the personification, and the origin of evil. Lucifer, the anointed cherub and perhaps the highest of all the worshiping angels rebelled against his creator “The Almighty” Elohim.

Isaiah 14:13-14 (NASB)
But you said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars (angels) of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.

Satan, in his rebellion against Elohim, wanted to be like the “Most High”- that is he wanted to be the possessor of heaven and earth. He wanted to rule in the heavens and upon the earth. He was seeking to replace Elohim. For his rebellion he was cast out of heaven to the earth (Ezekiel 28:13-16; Luke 10:18).

When Elohim created Adam and committed the reign of the earth to man that bothered Satan very much because he had been cast out of heaven, and now he was in danger of not possessing the earth. So, Satan made his way into the Garden of Eden to deceptively solicit Adam and Eve to disobey Elohim into eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 3:1-7).

  • Since the beginning of time Satan has been deceiving and tempting the human race. He’s been doing this for thousands of years (Job 1:7).

Because of this Satan was cursed by Elohim- he would receive a fatal head wound, and in the end, will not rule the earth (Genesis 3:15). Man was also cursed by Elohim- the earth, over which he was to rule, was snatched from his grasp; and man himself would die. Satan, by treachery, had taken over man’s right to rule the earth. Satan was now the god of this world (1 John 5:19; Luke 4:5-8).

Today Satan is still the god of this world and the ruler of the kingdom of darkness. He is in complete authority over all the fallen angels and demons; they are all subject to him. Scripture says that he is a deceiver and the father of lies (John 8:44), that he comes to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10).
